Ophthalmologist – Mercyhealth System | McHenry & Algonquin, IL | $425,000 – $500,000

Mercyhealth System is seeking a skilled Ophthalmologist to join our collaborative eye care team at our McHenry and Algonquin locations. This is an excellent opportunity to build your practice in a supportive environment with advanced technology and strong operational support.

Practice Highlights:

• 4–5 days per week, flexible scheduling
• Outpatient setting with EPIC EMR
• Shared office call with another ophthalmologist (weekly rotation)
• Access to extensive multi-specialty referral sources
• Hospital-based cataract & goniotomy surgeries
• Advanced in-office laser procedures and premium lens implants
  
  

Procedures & Equipment:

• Cataract & Goniotomy Surgerie
• Laser Procedures (McHenry): YAG Capsulotomy, LPI, SLT
• Minor Procedures (McHenry): Chalazion removal, lid lesion excision, steroid injections
• Procedures at both locations: Foreign body removal, punctal plug insertions
• Equipment includes Zeiss OCT, Humphrey Visual Field, ASCAN, Lenstar, Topography, slit lamps, phoropters, and comprehensive surgical instruments

Practice Team Positions:

Ophthalmologist, Optometrist, Manager, Ophthalmic Team Lead, Coordinator, Surgery Scheduler, Receptionists, Technicians

Qualifications:

• MD/DO, board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology
• Completion of an accredited residency
• Illinois medical license (or eligibility)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
  

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $425,000 – $500,000
